ABOUT US & ORIGINS OF EVERWOOD
The Everwood Pack was established on June 3rd, 2009 by Serenity O’Faoladh, who selected three other members to join her. It was founded in the territory of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and included members from Bucks County and southern New Jersey as well. The pack’s chosen name reflected its vision; to be at one with nature and remain wild at heart. The term “pack” being mainly unique to canine therians, and synonymous with family. The core values and beliefs on which they emphasized told their story; that they believe in accountability, authenticity, and maturity within the community, as well as in nature. Loyalty, Honor, and Respect were values that were lacking in the community, so they made a point to embody them. Everwood grew throughout the years, incorporating the various talents and interests of its members, attending local events, hosting camping trips, patronizing wolf sanctuaries, and even publishing a few articles here and there. Serenity started the Way of the Wolf classes in 2010, helping lone wolves and whole packs alike. The former alpha male started offering security services to local Nightside events, and Everwood’s members thrived for seven glorious years. So what happened? Due to personal reasons in the lives of Everwood members, it was determined that the wisest decision would be to close its doors, and at the time it was a permanent, heartbreaking decision. They had no inclination of what the future held for the Everwood Legacy or its former members.
Though there had been other packs in the Philadelphia area when Everwood was in its First Age, they had likewise evaporated into memories. Where there once were many, there were now none. Still, something stirred…
There came a time when hearing a wolf howling didn’t hurt anymore, and she knew it was time to continue her work. In late 2018, Serenity put out the call and a few wolves answered, and attended a meeting to discuss terms for building another pack. By early 2019 it was ready for launch, bringing forward a new incarnation of what would become Everwood, though for a brief time it donned the name of Howling Garrison. During that time, the pack gained its Alpha Male, Grimm. Finding the right partners to lead a pack can often create a catalyst for something great to emerge. The decision to resurrect the Everwood Legacy wasn’t made in haste. Rather, it took courage and accountability, knowing full well its return could encounter unnecessary conflict. The core members made sacrifices as needed, cut what was no longer necessary, and found a new beginning even in a metaphorical death, a shift in energy. Though the new Everwood members possess something greater this time around; a deeper sense of purpose, as well as the acquisition of the right caliber of personalities, making a determined and harmonious pack. Everwood maintains its values of Loyalty, Honor, and Respect, the standard of conduct, and a drive for the success of its Legacy and its family.
